Veste Coburg
Coburg Castle, also known as the Frankish Crown, towers above the city of Coburg, to which it is connected by a courtyard garden.
First mentioned in 1225 as a "castle", the fortress was never conquered in its history. The month-long stay of Martin Luther in 1530 is commemorated today by two Luther rooms to be visited. Also to visit are the valuable art collections housed in the Veste.
Following the visit to the Veste, we invite you to a leisurely walk through the old-historic town of Coburg. Discover with us the beautiful monuments, gates and towers, lots of fountains, the striking town hall and last but not least green oases of peace right near Coburg's center.
